Rosette Pre Grades

These are three specially choreographed presentation and performance classes for the 4 to 7 year olds, designed to introduce children to dance, and the examination system, in a fun and imaginative way.

Pre Grades 1 & 2 are presentation classes with Teacher participation throughout, either dancing with the children or giving helpful guidance, whilst Pre Grade 3 is an examination. At the end of all three Pre Grades the parents are invited into the studio to watch the presentation of Rosettes to each child.

The Rosette Pre Grades may also be used for Ballet and Tap classes.

The NZAMD Medal Awards allow students to perform in front of a friendly audience in a fun and non-judgmental atmosphere.  Click here for more information. 

Pre Grade Hip Hop Medal Classes

NZAMD recognized the growing demand for hip hop classes for the young dancers and introduced this Fun & Funky Pre Grade Hip Hop syllabus for 2008.
 
With an emphasis on Medal Award Dances, there is no stress for today’s young dancer to remember a large number of exercises and, with fun, style, enjoyment and participation, the students will develop confidence and memory skills, whilst being rewarded with a sense of achievement with the presentation of a Medal at the end of their hip hop demonstration.

There is also teacher participation at the Bronze and Silver levels, either dancing with the children or giving helpful guidance throughout.

Pre Grade Hip Hop is based on three levels  -

• Bronze for the 5 to 7 year olds ( and the talented 4 year old )
• Silver for the 6 to 8 year olds
• Gold for the 7 to 9 year olds

The syllabus contains class work and dances.
