Examinations are available in Levels One to Nine plus the Solo Performance Diploma.
Assessments are also available in all levels (but not in the Modules).

For the pre school and younger dancer 4 to 8 years see the Rosette Pre Grades.

Choreographed by Keith Clifton (USA) the NZAMD American Tap offers students and teachers the necessary training and progression to become an accomplished tap dancer. We are proud to have NZAMD trained tap dancers performing in theatres around the world.

The syllabus is suitable for dancers from 7 years to adults.

The American Tap consists of barre work, centre work, and set or teachers’ own choreographed dances. Keith Clifton’s choreography develops an exciting rhythmical array of beats throughout the levels, taking NZAMD tap well into the 21st century.

The Original Tap, from Grade One, is still available for those who may wish to use it alongside the American syllabus.

The Musical Theatre Award is an award for senior students with dance, drama and singing included and from 2013 will be part of the NZAMD Medal Awards programme.

Rosette Pre Grades may also be used for the pre school and very young tapper.
